Our Impact

The Giving Circle of Alexandria

Giving Circle of Alexandria logoThe Giving Circle is a diverse group of women who are invested and engaged in their community. They believe that confronting the City’s high priority issues collectively and strategically is the best means to inspire social change. With an annual matching grant of $25,000, ACT has helped The Giving Circle increase their membership and impact around early childhood education. In 2009, ACT and The Giving Circle co-invested in a city-wide playgroup initiative to expand a collaborative playgroup model around the City.

Print
Tuesday, January 24 2012, 9:00am - 11:30am

ACT & ACTion Alexandria are very excited to invite your organization to participate in Spring2ACTion 2012, our 2nd annual innovative, online, community-wide fundraising event that will:
  • Grow supporters by educating them about Alexandria nonprofits and how they positively impact the community.
  • Grow revenue for nonprofits serving Alexandrians by creating and/or enhancing an individual funding stream.
  • Grow philanthropy in Alexandria and bring new donors to nonprofit organizations.
Last year, 47 Alexandria nonprofits raised over $100,000 in just three days.  This year, we can do even more.  On May 2nd, we want to help you and the community raise $200,000!

ACTion Alexandria is hosting an Open House/Information Session on Tuesday, January 24th to introduce you to Spring2ACTion and how to take advantage of this event to boost fundraising, support and awareness for your organization.  This session will be held at City Hall, Sister Cities Conference Room 1101 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
