This Mother’s Day we are offering you something special for Mother’s Day. You might already have a stitching obsession, but now you can get your friends and family involved! Bring a mother, daughter, aunt or friend to fibre space™ on May 13th anytime between noon and 4 pm to learn to knit and help support ACT for Alexandria. For a contribution of $20, our staff will get you started on a new scarf project.
*Materials not included. It is recommended that each person have 200 yards of chunky weight wool and US#10 needles. We recommend Ella Rae Superwash Chunky (available at the shop).

The Giving Circle is a diverse group of women who are invested and engaged in their community. They believe that confronting the City’s high priority issues collectively and strategically is the best means to inspire social change. With an annual matching grant of $25,000, ACT has helped The Giving Circle increase their membership and impact around early childhood education. In 2009, ACT and The Giving Circle co-invested in a city-wide playgroup initiative to expand a collaborative playgroup model around the City.
